City Continues to Bleed Points as Arsenal Given the Chance to Extend Lead

Khaberni  - Manchester City continued to lose points in the Premier League, after failing to secure a win for the third consecutive match in the competition.

Man City fell into the trap of a 1-1 draw with their guest Brighton on Wednesday evening, during the 21st round of the competition, at the "Etihad Stadium," the home ground of the Sky Blues.

Norwegian star Erling Haaland opened the scoring for Manchester City in the 41st minute from a penalty kick, marking his return to scoring after failing to hit the net in the previous three rounds, reinforcing his position as the top scorer of the season with 20 goals.

In the second half, Japanese player Kaoru Mitoma scored the equalizing goal for Brighton in the 60th minute, as both teams tried to snatch the winning goal in the final moments of the match, but to no avail.

With this result, Manchester City, who drew 0-0 with their host Sunderland and 1-1 with their guest Chelsea in the previous rounds, reached 43 points in second place, trailing by 5 points behind leader Arsenal, who can extend their lead to 8 points if they win against their guest Liverpool on Thursday evening, in the highlight match of the 21st round.

On the other hand, Brighton's points, which has avoided defeat for the third consecutive match in the competition, rose to 29 points in the tenth position.
