Khaberni - The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council announced the relief of Aden's governor from his duties and his referral for investigation.
The council also decided to appoint Abdel Rahman Sheikh Al-Yafei as the Minister of State and Governor of Aden.
Earlier on Wednesday, an “Al Arabiya/Al Hadath” correspondent reported that based on directives from commander Abdel Rahman Al-Mahrami, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, an official circular was issued in the evening, imposing a curfew throughout the capital city of Aden.
Curfew until morning
The circular directed to all military and security units in the city stipulates that the curfew begins at 9:00 PM and lasts until 6:00 AM, aimed at enhancing security measures and ensuring stability in the capital.
The circular also specified exceptions including emergency cases, and security and military personnel, in addition to medical and service teams, provided they adhere to carrying the officially approved permits allowing them to move during the curfew period.
The directive included mandating the relevant security authorities to immediately implement this circular, apprehend all violators, and take the necessary legal actions against them without exemption to any party, ensuring full compliance with the decision.
Furthermore, the circular concluded by emphasizing that the operation of this decision begins from the moment of its issuance, with a stress on all related entities to strictly abide by its content and fully cooperate to ensure the success of the measures aimed at protecting public tranquility.
This comes while Adnan Al-Kaf, deputy governor of Aden, confirmed that the security situation in the city of Aden is stable, noting that the city enjoys safety and security.
Al-Kaf, in statements to “Al Arabiya/Al Hadath,” urged citizens to preserve public and private properties and to cooperate with the relevant authorities in contributing to enhancing stability and maintaining security in the city.
An “Al Arabiya/Al Hadath” correspondent previously indicated that the Giants Brigades control the state institutions and Ma’ashiq Palace in the city. It was explained that the Giants Brigades have secured control over the entrances to Aden from all directions.
The brigades also secure the Tawahi, Mualla, and Crater neighborhoods in Aden.
Al-Zubaidi's escape
Aidarus Al-Zubaidi, the president of the Southern Transitional Council, fled at night to an unknown location, after deploying large military reinforcements to Aden, distributing weapons and ammunition to dozens of elements inside Aden led by Moumin Al-Saqqaf and Mukhtar Al-Noubi with the aim of causing disturbance and destabilizing stability within the city.
He also moved large forces including armored vehicles and combat vehicles along with heavy and light weapons and ammunition from the camps of Hadid and Solban towards Dhale at around midnight.
Subsequently, the coalition, in coordination with the "Shield of the Nation Forces," carried out several preemptive strikes to disable Al-Zubaidi's forces and prevent them from compromising security.
Latterly, the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council announced the referral of Al-Zubaidi to the public prosecution and trial for the crime of high treason.
