Khaberni - Middle East University in collaboration with Palestine Polytechnic University organized a workshop entitled: "Contemporary Furniture Design in the Context of Heritage Buildings", with the participation of academics and students from both universities.
During the workshop, university students presented innovative design projects for contemporary furniture pieces inspired by Palestinian and Arab heritage, showcasing the students' ability to blend cultural identity with functional and aesthetic dimensions, and offering modern design solutions that meet contemporary market requirements while preserving
the spirit of the place and its heritage.
At the end of the event, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Design at Middle East University, Dr. Ayman Awad, honored the members of the jury in appreciation for their rich academic contribution, while the Head of the Interior Design Department at the university, Dr. Qusay Mansour, honored the participating students from Palestine Polytechnic University, reaffirming the depth of academic cooperation between the two institutions.
