Khaberni - Media reports revealed new financial details about the high costs that Manchester United will incur due to the signing of Portuguese Ruben Amorim, in an experience that ended without achieving the desired technical goals.
The British site talkSPORT reported that the total cost to the club's treasury is 27.35 million pounds, a figure that reflects the level of risk taken by the management at that stage.
It stated: "Manchester United paid 9.5 million pounds as compensation to Sporting Lisbon for hiring the Portuguese coach, in addition to 7.8 million pounds already received by Amorim from his contract with the club".
It added: "United will commit to paying 10.05 million pounds more representing the value of the remainder of his contract after the termination of the relationship between the two sides".
On the technical front, Amorim was unable to make a strong impact with the team, where his winning rate was only 36.92 percent, a figure considered much lower than the ambitions of the club and its fans, especially in light of the high expectations that accompanied his arrival and his technical discourse, which promised to rebuild the team.
These figures have reignited debate within Manchester United about its recruitment policy, both in terms of players and technical staff, at a time when the club is seeking both technical and financial stability amidst increasing fan pressure to compete for titles and return to its rightful place among Europe's elite.
