Khaberni - Kerak Governor Qabalan Al-Sharif said on Monday that the last rain event in Kerak Governorate was exceptional, pointing out the current infrastructure's inability to handle the amounts of rain that fell, with the most affected area being Iraq of Kerak.
Al-Sharif added that the relevant authorities evacuated 30 homes and 319 individuals who were trapped due to the rains, with no fatalities reported, according to Al-Mamlaka.
He mentioned that the committees formed to assess the damages and deal with them have started their tasks, where 21 sites requiring box culverts were identified, ensuring that there were instructions to expedite the committees' tasks and assess the damages before the end of the current week.
