Minister of Digital Economy The new Sanad app update automatically enables digital identity

Khaberni - Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Samirat said on Sunday that the Sanad app update is distinguished by higher speed in login and navigation within the app, alongside an updated and easier user interface, designed to facilitate access to government services and enhance the clarity and smoothness of the user experience.

Samirat indicated during a press conference to discuss the most significant updates made to the Sanad app that the new update has enabled the automatic activation of the digital identity through the Sanad app, without the need to visit Sanad stations as was previously required, through simple, safe, and reliable steps.

He explained that this measure represents a significant shift in enabling citizens to activate their digital identity easily, as the ministry will clearly and simply publish the new activation mechanism through its digital platforms and various media outlets to ensure it reaches all citizens.

Samirat clarified that one of the prominent features provided by the new update is the adoption of the integrated service principle, where citizens can now complete their government transactions entirely within the Sanad app itself, from submitting the request to completing the payment electronically, without the need to extract reference payment numbers or use external payment channels and then return to complete the request, which saves time and effort and significantly improves the service recipient's experience.

He continued, "In the context of enhancing the efficiency of electronic payments, the app will offer a comprehensive and seamless electronic payment experience, enabling users to pay directly via Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards, in addition to direct payments, keeping up with the latest digital payment systems and providing greater flexibility for users."
