Khaberni - The Egyptian artist Amro Saad announced the renaming of his new series, scheduled to be aired in the Ramadan drama season of 2026, to "Release" after it was previously circulated in the past period under the title "Abbas Al Rayess".
Amro Saad posted a picture from the scenes of the work on his official account on Instagram, commenting, "We trust in God.. This is the first picture from the human drama Release, and God willing, may it be a series for every Egyptian and Arab home."
Saad added: "Release, a drama befitting the level of trust and success and is suitable for the history of Egyptian drama, and I hope it is an addition that the audience will appreciate and respect, 'Actions speak louder than words,' from the sayings of Abbas Al Rayess (Release), directed by the esteemed Ahmed Khaled Moussa."
Story and stars of the work
In the series, Amro Saad portrays the character of Abbas, a young man from a poor family who strives to improve his social and economic status by working in various professions and crafts. However, his life’s path drastically changes after being swindled by a powerful figure in his neighborhood, which pushes him to devise a meticulous plan to reclaim his right and confront injustice, in a dramatic framework full of conflicts and humanitarian transformations.
The work is produced by Sadeq Anwar Al-Sabbah through his production company.
The cast includes a selection of artists, among them Tara Emad, Hatem Salah, Sama Ibrahim, Ahmed Abdel Hamid, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, Omar Al-Saeed, Alaa Morsy, Sherif Desouky, and Jihad Hossam El Din, along with a number of young faces and guest stars.
The announcement of the work comes after Amro Saad's participation in the last Ramadan drama season through the series "Sayed Al-Nas," directed by Mohamed Sami, featuring several artists, among them Ahmed Zaher, Ahmed Rizk, Elham Shaheen, Reem Mostafa, Nashwa Mostafa, Ingy Al-Mokkaddem, Khaled El Sawy, Yassin El Sakka, and Malak Ahmed Zaher, among others.
Amro Saad also ventures into the world of digital platforms for the second time; where he presents a new series titled: "From the Beginning Again" following his first experience in 2022 with the series "Al Jesr," and he anticipates the release of his new film "The Ravens".
