The Olympic Team meets its Japanese counterpart in a friendly match on Thursday

Khaberni - The under-23 national Olympic football team meets its Japanese counterpart in a friendly match held tomorrow in Doha, as part of the training camp that the team is holding in Qatar in preparation for participation in the Asian Cup to be held in Saudi Arabia.
The Moroccan coach of the Olympic team, Omar Najhi, aims to use the match to put the final touches on the team lineup that will compete in the Asian Cup.
The team's camp in Qatar witnessed a goalless draw against the Uzbekistan team last Saturday.
The Olympic team will kick off its participation in the Asian Cup in Group A by facing Vietnam on the 6th of next month at the auxiliary stadium of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, then it will face Saudi Arabia at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, and conclude the group stage against Kyrgyzstan at the auxiliary stadium of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
The team's roster includes 23 players: Abd al-Rahman Sulaiman, Murad Falouji, Salama Salman, Ali Hajbi, Mohammad Shatti, Jafar Samarah, Arafat Al-Haj, Ahmad Ayman, Mohammad Taha, Ayham Al-Samamreh, Ahmad Al-Maghribi, Abdullah Al-Maneis, Saleh Freij, Hashem Al-Mbeidin, Saif Sulaiman, Youssef Qushi, Ouda Al-Fakhouri, Moumen Al-Saket, Mahmoud Dheeb, Amin Al-Shanayna, Anas Al-Khub, Khaldoun Sabra, and Bakr Kalbouneh.
According to the tournament system, the 16 participating teams have been divided into 4 groups, with each group comprising 4 teams. They compete in a fragmented league format from a single stage, with the first two teams from each group qualifying for the quarter-finals.
