43987 students apply for the mathematics exam in supplementary high school guidance

Khaberni - The Director of Examinations and Assessments at the Ministry of Education, Mohammad Shahadeh, confirmed that the mathematics exam questions will be from inside the prescribed school curriculum, taking into account individual differences among students.

Shahadeh told "Al-Mamlaka" on Tuesday that the exam will be balanced and appropriate for the allotted time, noting that since their commencement, the exams have been running smoothly and according to the ministry's plans, comprehensive and balanced with consideration for individual differences among students.

On Wednesday 43,987 students from academic and vocational tracks will take the General Secondary School Certificate Exam "Al-Tawjihi" for the supplementary session on its third day, out of 131,381 participants, including 116,714 students who have not completed the success requirements, and14,667 students looking to improve their scores.

Students from the scientific, literary, Sharia, industrial, and hotel tracks will take the mathematics paper (first paper), while students from the agricultural track will take the plant production paper (first paper), and students from the home economics track will take the specialized vocational sciences paper (first paper).

Shahadeh detailed that the distribution of students taking the exam is as follows: Literary track (21,068 students), scientific (21,326 students), Sharia (67 students), industrial (45 students), home economics (851 students), agricultural (629 students), and hotel (one student).

Shahadeh explained that the first session of the exam starts at 11 AM, while the second session begins at 2 PM, affirming that all students will take the exams according to the approved school book editions for the academic year 2024/2025.

He noted that the Ministry has started correcting the "Tawjihi" exam papers immediately after the end of the first sessions, aiming to announce the results promptly and as soon as possible.

A total of 131,381 students are participating in this year's supplementary "Tawjihi" exam, distributed across academic and vocational tracks, with: eleventh academic (37,437 students), scientific (42,274 students), literary (40,468 students), Sharia (116 students), industrial (3,740 students), agricultural (2,422 students), hospitality and tourism (887 students), and home economics (4,037 students).

The exams are held in 529 testing centers distributed across various education departments in the kingdom, with 42 backup halls, while the exam papers are corrected in 38 centers distributed across the provinces.

It is scheduled that 140 students will be able to take the exams in reform and rehabilitation centers and juvenile centers, distributed across 15 halls, along with 3 students at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

As for students with disabilities, 422 students will take the exams, distributed across categories of the deaf (115 students), the blind (37 students), those with mobility impairments (113 students), cerebral palsy (64 students), and those with low vision (93 students).
