Coalition Leadership Reveals Details of Bombing Emirati Arms Shipment

Khaberni - The spokesperson for the coalition legitimacy leadership in Yemen revealed details of the bombing that the coalition launched at dawn on Tuesday on a shipment of weapons that arrived at the port of Mukalla from the UAE.

Major General Turki Al-Maliki stated on the X platform on Tuesday evening that "a limited military operation was carried out at dawn today in a manner that ensures the safety of lives and facilities at the port." He added that the Emirati side had moved vehicles, containers, and Emirati elements to Al Rayyan base without notifying the kingdom.

He explained that as the two ships entered the port of Mukalla, it was clear that they were carrying more than 80 vehicles and containers of weapons and ammunition. He clarified that during the entry of the ships into the port, it was closed and all local workers and employees were evacuated.

He confirmed that rules of engagement were applied in the military operation at the port of Mukalla. He added that the vehicles were returned to the port, while the containers of weapons remained at Al Rayyan base.

He stated that the Emirati side was informed that "such escalatory practices intended to fuel the conflict are unacceptable."

24-Hour Deadline
It is worth mentioning that the president of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced the cancellation of the joint defense agreement with the UAE, as part of a decision that stipulated the withdrawal of all its forces from Yemen within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, accused the UAE of pushing the forces of the Southern Transitional Council to carry out military operations on the southern borders of the kingdom in the provinces of Hadramout and Mahra in eastern Yemen.

Saudi Arabia emphasized that its national security is a red line and that it will take all necessary measures to confront any threat it faces, especially on its southern borders.

However, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied what it described as "claims" regarding its direction of a Yemeni party to carry out military operations affecting the security of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing its concern for the security of the kingdom.

Later, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced the "end of duties for the remainder of its counter-terrorism teams in Yemen."

However, Saudi Arabia asked the UAE to withdraw from Yemen within 24 hours, in a statement issued by the Council of Ministers.
