Khaberni - In a striking development in the Saudi stance towards the Yemeni file, the Saudi Cabinet renewed its confirmation that the Kingdom will not hesitate to take the necessary steps to confront any threat to its security, directing direct messages related to the UAE's role in Yemen.
A call for the withdrawal of Emirati forces and the Saudi Press Agency "SPA" conveyed the council's hope that the United Arab Emirates will respond to Yemen's request for "the exit of Emirati forces within 24 hours".
Stopping support for "the Transitional" and other parties, the council also expressed its hope that the UAE would respond to the request to stop any support provided to the Southern Transitional Council, or its commitment to stop supporting any other party inside Yemen outside the framework of legitimacy.
Support for "the Presidential" and rejection of escalation, the council emphasized the Kingdom's full commitment to the security, stability, and sovereignty of Yemen, renewing its full support for the president of the Presidential Leadership Council.
The council considered that "the recent escalation in Yemen is contrary to the principles on which the coalition to support legitimacy was based".
