The Arab League calls for an immediate cessation of escalation in Yemen

Khaberni - The Arab League called for an immediate cessation of escalation in the governorates of Hadramout and Mahra in eastern Yemen, warning of serious repercussions that could result from continued tension.

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, appealed to all member states in the Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy to maintain Arab solidarity spirit in this critical situation and to prioritize restraint and adherence to a unified Arab stance supporting Yemeni legitimacy, in compliance with the consecutive Arab League Council resolutions regarding the Yemen crisis.

Aboul Gheit renewed his explicit condemnation of any military movements aiming to forcibly impose a separatist reality on the ground, affirming that such steps pose a direct threat to the unity of Yemeni territory, and cause substantial harm to the South Yemeni cause, which he emphasized can only be resolved through political dialogue.
