Khaberni - On Thursday, the Iranian army vowed to launch "devastating" attacks on the United States and Israel, hours after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to strike Iran hard in the coming weeks, returning it to the "Stone Age".
The Central Operations Room of the Iranian Armed Forces said in a statement broadcast on state television, "With reliance on God, this war will continue until your humiliation, degradation, everlasting and inevitable regret, and your surrender."
It added, "Wait for our operations that will be even more crushing and destructive."
Trump said the United States is "close to achieving" its objectives in the war against Iran but will continue to hit the country "hard" for another two to three weeks.
In a speech to the nation from the White House, he praised the "decisive" and "devastating" victories the United States has achieved, reasserting once again that the strikes were necessary to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
The Iran war erupted on February 28, 2026, following widespread airstrikes by the United States and Israel in operations "Epic Wrath" and "Lion's Roar", targeting vital and military installations and command centers in Tehran and several other cities, leading to the death of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day, along with several senior officials and leaders, including Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and prominent leaders in the Revolutionary Guard.
In response, Iran launched "The True Promise 4" operation by firing hundreds of missiles and drones towards Israel and countries in the region and closing the Strait of Hormuz, causing an escalation in energy prices.
The war extended to Lebanon on March 2, after Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel following the assassination of Ali Khamenei, to which Israel responded with widespread airstrikes and a ground incursion into the south.
