Khaberni - Transport Minister Nidal Al-Qatamin met with the Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom, Goh Wei, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in various transport fields.
During the meeting on Tuesday, the two sides discussed ways to develop the transport sector and benefit from advanced Chinese expertise, particularly in the field of railways, localizing the industries and products of major projects related to it, introducing new technology concepts in transportation and traffic, and addressing traffic congestion.
The meeting touched on the importance of reactivating a direct flight route between Jordan and China, which would enhance travel movement and economic and tourism exchange between the two countries.
Al-Qatamin emphasized the depth of the historical relations between Jordan and China, stressing the need for these relations to reflect more practical cooperation in the field of transport development and the introduction of modern technology, serving mutual interests.
He also highlighted the importance of opening up direct dialogue about investment opportunities in the transport sector in Jordan, confirming the ministry's readiness to consult and cooperate with the Chinese side to achieve tangible results on the ground.
