Collapse of the Wadi Araba road over a length of 70 meters and street erosion by a depth of 12 meters

Khaberni - The Highway Patrol Administration announced the closure of Wadi Araba road in the Martyr’s Monument area due to the complete collapse of the road over a length of 70 meters, and the street erosion by a depth of 12 meters.

It confirmed that the traffic has been closed towards Wadi Araba, and vehicles headed specifically to Wadi Araba and Aqaba have been diverted to the desert highway, and the movement from Wadi Araba customs coming from Aqaba towards the capital Amman has also been redirected to the desert highway.

The administration indicated that its patrols are on site for guidance and instruction, hoping that the users of the mentioned road follow the instructions of the security officer at the location.

The General Security Directorate announced that a part of Wadi Araba road in the Ghur Asal area has been closed to traffic in both directions due to rising water levels.
