Netanyahu Defies ICC Restrictions and Flies Over Europe En Route to Trump

Khaberni - In a flight that carried significant political and legal implications, the aircraft of the occupation's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, known as "Wing of Zion", left the occupied airspace on Sunday morning heading to the United States to meet President Donald Trump, overcoming international legal prosecution fears that haunt the political apex in Tel Aviv.

Data from the "Flight Radar" website, specialized in tracking air traffic, showed that Netanyahu’s aircraft followed a route that crossed the airspace of Greece, Italy, and France before reaching the Atlantic Ocean.

This flight gains sensitive significance as these three countries are signatories to the "Rome Statute" and are legally bound to enforce arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court, including an active warrant against Netanyahu on charges of committing war crimes.

It was noted that Netanyahu followed a different route than his last trip to New York in September; whereas he used the airspace of Greece and Italy only back then, this current trip added the passage through French airspace.

Observers believe that choosing this route represents a "public test" of the commitment of European countries to the decisions of the International Court, benefiting from the political cover provided by the anticipated visit to his close ally in the White House.

This trip further deepens the international legal controversy, as it puts the European capitals in an awkward position before their international obligations and human rights principles, while circles within the occupation regard it as a affirmation of the non-recognition of the ICC’s authority, proving the occupation Prime Minister's ability to move freely in international airspaces all the way to Washington, disregarding all legal pursuits.
