Khaberni - The Wall Street Journal reported that businessman Graham Walker from the state of Louisiana, USA, sold his company «Fiberbond», and decided to grant all its employees a total bonus of $240 million.
Walker had previously announced his readiness to sell the company to an investor who agrees to allocate 15% of the sale revenues for hiring new employees.
He explained that the employees of «Fiberbond» did not own any shares in the company and were not eligible to receive any payments from the deal, so this step came as a personal initiative from him to support and reward them.
The amount was distributed among 540 employees, each receiving $443,000, to be paid out over five years, with the first installment already disbursed last July.
