Abu Dhabi A 1000 AED Fine for Trailers in this Case

Khaberni - The Traffic and Security Patrol Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police called on drivers, within the "Our Winter is Safe and Enjoyable" campaign, to adhere to the laws and safety conditions necessary for transporting motorbikes in trailers of all types and sizes.

It clarified that the safety laws and conditions include securing a number from the back on the trailer as a third number, equipping the trailer with signal and warning lights, using warning signals for the vehicle and trailer, that the trailer must also be equipped with a warning sticker and reflector, adhering to the right lane in all conditions to ensure the safety of the vehicle and trailer, and that the width of the trailer must not exceed 260 centimeters, and its length must not exceed the length of the vehicle. 

Abu Dhabi Police mentioned that Article Number 96, which is towing a vehicle or boat or carriage in a way that does not meet the safety conditions, is a violation with a fine of 1000 AED and Article Number 97 is the absence of lighting lamps behind the trailer or on its sides, a violation with a fine of 500 AED, and Article Number 27 "b" of the Federal Traffic and Traffic Law stipulates fining those who commit acts that may lead to "obscuring vehicle plate numbers" a financial penalty of 400 AED.
It confirmed its commitment to intensify traffic monitoring and take legal actions against any vehicle that does not comply with the safety laws in trailers, according to the Federal Traffic and Traffic Law.
