Farha Reda, one of the girls from Saqiet Abu Sha'ra village belonging to Ashmun center in Monufia governorate, recounted painful details of her survival from the horrific desert road accident, which involved a minibus carrying workers and a heavy transport vehicle «trailer», resulting in the death of 5 people and injuring many others, all from Ashmun center.
Farha explained that she was transported to the hospital immediately after the accident, but her condition was misjudged as she was treated as if she had died, and she was mistakenly placed in the morgue. She said she regained consciousness only to find herself inside a fridge drawer, suffering from severe cold and unable to move or speak, which led her to close her eyes out of extreme fear.
She added that after a short while, she was taken out of the morgue in preparation for her body to be washed and stripped of her clothes, before the hospital workers discovered that she was still alive, which caused a great shock to everyone at the place.
The survivor pointed out that the experience had a profound psychological impact on her, stating that she suffers from sleep disorders and recurrent fear attacks, and is no longer able to live her life normally, requesting specialized neurological medical follow-up to help her overcome this ordeal.
