Supplementary Tawjihi starts today

Khaberni  - On Saturday, 33,328 students from various academic and professional branches head to the examination halls to attend the first sessions of the supplementary round of the general examination for the Secondary School Certificate (Tawjihi), in the subjects assigned according to the exam schedule.

According to the schedule, students from the scientific, agricultural, and home economics branches will take the Life Sciences exam, while students from the literary and Sharia branches will take the first paper of the Arabic Language/ specialization. Meanwhile, students from the industrial branch will be examined in the first paper of the Special Industrial Sciences, and hospitality students in the first paper of Food Production and Service.

The Ministry of Education told "Al Mamlaka" that the candidates for the exam are distributed as follows: literary branch (5,684 students), scientific (24,936 students), Sharia (30 students), industrial (805 students), home economics (1,112 students), agricultural (668 students), and hospitality (93 students).

The ministry also clarified that the first session of the exam will start at eleven in the morning, while the second session will begin at two in the afternoon, noting that all the students will take the exams according to the approved editions of the textbooks for the academic year 2024/2025.

This year, 131,381 students are participating in the supplementary Tawjihi exam, including 116,714 students who have not completed the passing requirements, and 14,667 students from those seeking to improve their grades. The students are distributed across various academic and professional branches as follows: eleventh academic (37,437 students), scientific (42,274 students), literary (40,468 students), Sharia (116 students), industrial (3,740 students), agricultural (2,422 students), hospitality and tourism (887 students), home economics (4,037 students).

The exams are held in 529 examination centers distributed across various educational directorates in the kingdom, with 42 reserve halls allocated in various directorates. Also, the examination papers will be marked in 38 centers distributed across the provinces.

It is planned that 140 students from reform and rehabilitation centers and juvenile centers will be enabled to take the exams, where they will be distributed over 15 halls. Additionally, 3 students from the King Hussein Cancer Center will participate.

As for students with disabilities, 422 students will sit for the exams, distributed across the following categories: deaf (115 students), blind (37 students), those with mobility disabilities (113 students), cerebral palsy (64 students), and visually impaired (93 students).
