Jordan 33000 students take the first supplementary Tawjihi exams on Saturday

This coming Saturday, 33,328 students from various academic and professional branches will head to the examination halls to take the first sessions of the supplementary round of the general examination for the General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi), in the subjects set according to the exam schedule.

According to the schedule, students in the scientific, agricultural, and home economics branches will take the biological sciences exam, while students in the literary and sharia branches will take the first paper of the Arabic language/ specialization exam. Meanwhile, students in the industrial branch will be tested in the first paper of the specialized industrial sciences, and those in the hospitality branch in the first paper of food production and service.

The Ministry of Education reported that the candidates for the exam are distributed as follows: literary branch (5,684 students), scientific branch (24,936 students), sharia branch (30 students), industrial branch (805 students), home economics (1,112 students), agricultural (668 students), and hospitality (93 students).

The ministry also clarified that the first session of the examination will begin at eleven o'clock in the morning, while the second session will start at two o'clock in the afternoon, indicating that all students will take the exams according to the approved versions of the textbooks for the academic year 2024/2025.

This year, the supplementary Tawjihi exam involves 131,381 students, including 116,714 students who have not completed the requirements for success, and 14,667 students are grade improvement candidates. The students are distributed across various academic and vocational branches as follows: eleventh-grade academic (37,437 students), scientific (42,274 students), literary (40,468 students), sharia (116 students), industrial (3,740 students), agricultural (2,422 students), hospitality and tourism (887 students), home economics (4,037 students).

The exams will be held in 529 examination centers distributed across various Directorates of Education throughout the Kingdom, with 42 additional halls designated in different directorates. The examination papers will be marked in 38 centers across the provinces.

It is scheduled that 140 students will be able to take the exams in correctional and rehabilitation centers, and juvenile centers, where they will be distributed in 15 halls. Additionally, 3 students will participate at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

As for students with disabilities, 422 students will take the exams, distributed across the following categories: deaf (115 students), blind (37 students), those with mobility disabilities (113 students), cerebral palsy (64 students), and those with visual impairments (93 students).
