Khaberni - In a shocking incident on Christmas Day in Seattle, USA, a man stole a police car belonging to the Washington State Police after assaulting an officer holding the rank of lieutenant, in an incident that was recorded on video and sparked wide controversy.
Footage circulated showed the man crossing a busy highway before the police car stopped beside him, and according to the video, the suspect approached the driver's side, then grabbed the officer and forcefully dragged her out of the car, before pushing her to the ground shockingly, and speeding away with the car.
Immediately following the incident, the police launched a wide-scale chase that ended with the stolen vehicle being surrounded and the suspect being arrested shortly thereafter, with no injuries recorded among security personnel or civilians.
A spokesperson for the Washington State Police confirmed that the officer did not suffer any harm due to the incident, and also explained that she would not face any administrative accountability, indicating that investigations are still ongoing with the accused to reveal the circumstances and motives of the incident.
