Khaberni - The Ministry of Education and Educational Affairs called on all students participating in the general exam for the General Secondary Education Certificate "the supplementary exam" for the year 2025 / 2026, to familiarize themselves with the locations of their designated examination halls and precisely identify their locations well in advance of the start of the exams, to avoid being late for the scheduled time.
The Ministry provided participants with the ability to access the site of the school and the hall through the link https://exams.moe.gov.jo, or by scanning the Quick Response (QR Code) code included in the educational publications, emphasizing that adherence to the time and place is an essential part of the success of the examination process.
*Important Instructions and Entry Regulations
In a related context, the Ministry issued a set of regulations to ensure the examinations run smoothly, the most prominent of which are:
Early attendance: It is necessary for the participant to be in the examination hall at least half an hour before the start of the session, noting that the school doors will be closed at the start of the exam and no latecomers will be allowed.
Identity proof: Emphasis on bringing identity proof daily (civil status ID or passport for Jordanians, and approved identification cards for non-Jordanians), and placing it on the participant's seat.
Sitting cards: The Ministry clarified that participants in special education are not obliged to print the sitting card electronically, as they will be handed the paper copies by the chairperson on the first day.
Answer Mechanism and Allowed Tools
Pencil case and stationery: The Ministry banned bringing any pens (ink or pencil), as it will provide each participant with a pencil case containing (an ink pen, 3 pencils, an eraser, and a sharpener).
Optical Reader Sheet: The Ministry confirmed that the optical scanner sheet is the only one approved for marking the marks of "multiple choice" questions using a pencil, while answer notebooks are designated for descriptive questions (in Arabic, English, and Math subjects) using an ink pen.
Warnings about Prohibitions
The Ministry warned against bringing any electronic devices into the halls, including mobile phones, listening devices, smartwatches, calculators, or any paper cutouts. It confirmed that violating these instructions could subject the participant to severe penalties that may reach being banned from sitting for the exam for two academic years.
The Ministry also emphasized that the question paper, the answer notebook, and the optical scanner are official documents that must not be tampered with, torn, or taken out of the hall, and the participant is not allowed to leave the room until after the designated time has ended and all documents have been submitted.
BTEC Pathway and Professional Certificates
As part of the development of vocational education, through its awareness campaign #Learn_To_Work, the Ministry indicated that graduates of the technical vocational education path (BTEC) will receive an accredited professional practice certificate immediately upon graduation, opening up direct employment prospects for them in the local and international job market.
