Khaberni - The Income and Sales Tax Department has announced that, starting from Sunday morning, it will disburse 40% of the income tax refunds due to taxpayers, including employees and individuals for the year 2024, under the directions of Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan.
The department indicated that Hassan directed the Minister of Finance to transfer an amount of 25 million dinars to the Income and Sales Tax Department to disburse 40% of the verified refunds to each taxpayer among the employees and users from the refunds that acquired a definitive status and were audited and processed for disbursement.
The department will send text messages to the entitled recipients on their mobile phones informing them of the transfer of 40% of the refund due to the taxpayers to their bank accounts.
The department confirms that the refunds will be disbursed electronically and transferred to the taxpayers' account numbers without any need to visit the department.
