Khaberni - A bus driver saved 6 teachers from certain death, after the bus they were riding caught fire due to a severe road accident in the Abu Ajram center belonging to Duma al-Jandal in Northern Saudi Arabia.
Driver Abdul Salam Al-Sharari, in his talk with «Alarabiya.net», said that the accident occurred around six o'clock in the morning when a truck hit the bus from behind, which was carrying teachers on their dedicated route, leading to the front of the bus catching fire and the teachers being trapped inside amidst dense smoke.
Al-Sharari explained that he was driving his vehicle right behind the bus, while another driver was ahead on the road, before he saw the collision and the outbreak of fire, prompting him to stop immediately and rush to the scene of the accident.
Evacuation Under Fire
He immediately began trying to evacuate the teachers by breaking the bus's rear window, with help first from God, another driver, and several young men present at the location, where the teachers were extracted one after another in a race against time, amidst smoke and rising flames.
He mentioned that one of the teachers was in severe panic, hesitating while trapped inside the bus, saying: "Please, don’t let the fire consume me," and he assured her by saying: "Rest assured... with God's help, you will get out."
Crucial Seconds
Al-Sharari confirmed that the bus was completely engulfed in flames just moments after extracting the last teacher, noting that any delay of a few minutes would have allowed the flames to reach inside the vehicle, which could have led to tragic results.
He reported that both the bus driver and all the teachers are in stable health condition, except for one teacher who suffered a minor bruise due to the accident, where they all received necessary medical care at Abu Ajram Hospital.

The incident triggered wide interaction on social media platforms, where clips and photos from the accident site were circulated, amidst calls to honor Al-Sharari, who said in a viral video: "Thank God for everyone’s safety.. what happened wasn’t heroic, it was a blessing from God."
