Strategic Partnership between Amman Arab University and the Global Organization for Digital and International Arbitration to Est

In its pursuit to reinforce its strategic partnerships and develop educational and research processes, Amman Arab University signed a cooperation agreement with the Global Organization for Digital and International Arbitration, aimed at establishing the Amman Arab University Center for International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. This initiative reflects the university's commitment to developing applied legal education and promoting the culture of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods at local and international levels, marking it as the first center within Jordanian, Arab, and international universities in the field of digital arbitration. The agreement was signed by the university's president, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, and the organization's General Secretary, Dr. Mohammad Al-Za'bi, in the presence of His Excellency Engineer Sami Al-Helsa, Dr. Jafar Al-Za'bi, Director General of Al Mamlaka TV, Professor Dr. Hussam Al Hamad, Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance, Professor Dr. Ismail Yamin, Assistant President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, Ms. Nadia Al-Qudimat, Assistant President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mr. Anas Kaso, Assistant Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at Amman Arab University, Engineer Fadwa Al-Hajjaj, and members of the Global Organization for Digital and International Arbitration – Washington, The Jordan Office, and several prominent figures from the business community from various Arab and other countries.

In this context, Dr. Al-Widian emphasized that the establishment of the Amman Arab University Center for International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution reflects the university's commitment to academic innovation and the enhancement of applied education. He noted that the center will provide real opportunities for training and practical experience in an international environment, which will improve the professional and research competencies of students and faculty members, and enhance the university's role as a link between the academic sector and international legal institutions. Moreover, it will launch joint research initiatives that contribute to the development of arbitration and dispute resolution sciences, and open prospects for cooperation with leading academic and legal entities, thereby enhancing graduates' competitiveness in local and international markets. Dr. Al-Widian stated that signing this agreement aligns with the university's vision, academic mission, and community responsibility, reaffirming the university's commitment to forming quality partnerships with formal and specialized institutions, which aids in serving students and the local community, and enhances the universities' role in preparing qualified personnel possessing modern practical knowledge and skills. He explained that the university continuously engages in such agreements stemming from its academic and national role, believing in the importance of connecting theoretical aspects with practical application and supporting and qualifying students in specialized legal fields, especially in digital and international arbitration, thus enhancing their professional readiness and ability to enter the job market.

Dr. Al-Za'bi expressed his pride in signing this agreement with Amman Arab University, affirming that this cooperation represents a significant step in promoting the culture of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods, particularly in light of rapid developments in the field of digital and international arbitration. He pointed out that the Global Organization for Digital and International Arbitration is a non-profit organization established in Washington in 2023 by Arab academic and legal hands. It aims to spread the culture of arbitration and enhance its role as an effective and fair means of dispute resolution. He further noted that the organization has worked on creating a specialized digital platform aimed at providing an interactive training environment that simulates modern arbitration procedures, enabling students to practically train in managing arbitration cases electronically, which helps in honing their skills and linking theoretical aspects with practical application. This cooperation will also facilitate launching specialized training programs, workshops, and conferences, and support the preparation of scientific and professional cadres who combine specialized legal knowledge and modern practical application, thus enhancing the role of the university and the organization in spreading the culture of digital and international arbitration and serving the academic and professional community.

This agreement complements the vision of Amman Arab University in enhancing its status as a leading educational institution, providing the International Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Center as an integrated platform for students and faculty members to participate in advanced training programs, practical workshops, and international conferences, which contribute to honing practical skills and enhancing scientific research capabilities, along with opening avenues for cooperation with international academic and legal institutions, thereby raising the readiness of graduates to keep pace with global developments in the field of law and arbitration.
