Khaberni – The board of directors of the Jordan Cement Factories Company decided to appoint the former Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Youssef Al-Shamali, as the CEO of the company, succeeding Semaan Kamal Semaan.
Al-Shamali was also appointed as a member of the company's board of directors, which awaits approval from its general assembly on the sale of its shares from Lafarge (50.275%) to Ondaro (11.273%) and Exinoria (39%), in a meeting scheduled to be held on January 6, 2026.
Al-Shamali’s appointment is subject to ratification by the general assembly in its upcoming meeting, and the granting of the necessary executive powers according to the appointment contract, the provisions of the articles of association, and the approved governance instructions.
