Khaberni - Egyptian artist Ahmed El Fishawy arrived at his mother's, the late artist Soumaya El Alfi, funeral held today, Monday, at Omar Makram Mosque in Cairo, where he appeared profoundly saddened.
While at the funeral, a photographer took pictures of him with a mobile phone, which El Fishawy rejected; he got agitated, stood up, grabbed the phone and its owner, as the attendees gathered around trying to break up the scuffle before it escalated into a physical confrontation.
Art stars began to arrive at the funeral, with Mahmoud Fares and Wafaa Meky being among the first to arrive to pay their respects.
Touching Tribute
El Fishawy mourned his mother with heartrending words today on his Instagram account, sharing her picture and commenting: "Indeed, the eye tears, and the heart grieves and we only say what pleases our Lord, to God we belong and to Him we shall return," adding: "I will miss you, Semsem. I will spend the rest of my life grieving for you, till we meet in heaven's bridal suite."
