A tourist miraculously survived death after being hit by a violent wave, which caused her to crash into rocks while taking a souvenir photo on a dangerous cliff edge at one of the coastal tourist landmarks in Egypt.
The tourist, from China, was visiting the Ain Matrouh tourist area in Marsa Matrouh city when the horrifying accident occurred. A video clip of the moment, published on social media on December 7, shows the tourist wearing an orange summer dress sitting on a cliff edge near the water, as a wave rises behind her.
The foamy wave then appears, rushing towards her, engulfing her and knocking her to the ground, dragging her out to sea. After this ordeal, she told the local media that she suffered multiple bruises on her body and described the experience as "extremely terrifying."
She said she was fortunate not to have sustained serious injuries and will be more cautious when traveling in the future. She added that she miraculously managed to return to the shore by clinging to a safety rope at the site.
