Shocking details from Turkey Wife cuts up her husbands body and reports his disappearance

Khaberni - Turkish police announced today, Tuesday, about solving the mystery of a shocking crime that took place in the city of Bursa, after weeks of obscurity. The details of the murder of Ali Fouad Ozunoglu (75 years), a retired police officer who served for many years in the security forces, were revealed before forensic evidence led to the suspicion of his wife.

The details of the case date back to January 28, when Ozunoglu disappeared from his home in the Osman Gazi area. Two days later, his wife Adale Ozunoglu went to the police station, reporting that her husband went out to open the door of the house and never returned, prompting the authorities to start extensive search and investigation operations.

According to Turkish media, during the initial examination, police teams found the victim's personal belongings, including his phone, wallet, and official documents, inside the house, as well as blood traces in several locations, including the kitchen, bathroom, and apartment entrance, in addition to sharp tools suspected to be used in the incident. It was also evident that the apartment was in a neglected state, which partially hindered the evidence collection efforts in the early hours.

As the investigation deepened, forensic examinations showed that the blood belonged to the victim, while the fingerprints on the cleaver and knife matched those of the wife. Her movements were tracked during the days following the disappearance, where she was seen moving around the house, which reinforced the suspicions about her, leading to her being put under surveillance before being formally arrested at the beginning of this April.

During the interrogation, the wife initially denied committing the murder, but today she admitted to cutting the body into 15 pieces and placing them in plastic bags before disposing of them in nearby garbage containers over several stages. She claimed that the death occurred as a result of a fall from the stairs and that she acted out of fear of being accused of murder.

According to available information, the victim had retired years ago after a long professional career in the police force and was known among his acquaintances for his discipline and quiet demeanor. It was also indicated that the couple lived alone in the house.

Despite intensive search operations that included the neighborhood and surrounding areas, the police teams have not yet been able to find parts of the body. The court decided to detain the wife pending investigation, while her sons were released under surveillance conditions, with investigations and judicial proceedings continuing to uncover all the circumstances of the case.
