Khaberni - Barcelona announced before its last match of 2025, against Villarreal, that its Danish player Andreas Christensen suffered a partial tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.
The injury occurred at the end of Barça's training session on the eve of today's match scheduled at the Ceramica Stadium in the seventeenth round of the Spanish Football League, and hence, the Danish center-back did not travel with the team and underwent medical examinations to determine the extent of the injury.
The club clarified through its official channels that "first team player Andreas Christensen suffered a partial tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee as a result of an incorrect movement during Saturday's training session, and after necessary examinations, conservative treatment was chosen. The approximate recovery time will depend on the progress of the player's condition".
Thus, the Danish player joins the list of Barcelona injuries which already includes Gavi, Dani Olmo, Pedri, and Ronald Araujo.
