Atlético requests more than 150 million euros from Barcelona to release Álvarez

Khaberni - Press reports revealed Barcelona's desire to sign Argentine star Julian Álvarez, but the Catalan team's ambition clashes with the strict financial stance of Atlético Madrid's management.

Krrish stated on X: "Barcelona has confirmed that Julian Álvarez is their main target to strengthen the striker position in the upcoming summer transfer market."

He added, "The club president, Joan Laporta, considers Álvarez the ideal choice to enhance the striker position, and the perfect long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski."

He continued, "Conversations have been held between Barcelona and Álvarez's agents to understand his willingness and the conditions of his potential transfer, and sources indicate that Julian is open to the idea of moving."

He explained, "However, the primary condition for completing the deal is reaching an agreement with Atlético Madrid, as the club does not wish to sell Álvarez, and will request more than 150 million euros to release him."
He concluded, "Barcelona will hold talks with Atlético at the end of the season, hoping to reduce the deal's amount of 150 million euros by offering one or more players in a potential exchange deal, in addition to a cash amount ranging from 60 to 70 million euros."
