Israeli occupation patrols today, Sunday, infiltrated three towns in the northern and southern countryside of Quneitra, according to official Syrian media.
The Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that an Israeli patrol, consisting of two military vehicles, infiltrated from the Adnaniya point in the northern countryside of Quneitra towards the village of Umm al-Azam.
It added that the occupation patrol set up a checkpoint at the intersection of the village "Umm al-Azam" which connects it to the villages of Ruwaihinah and Al-Mushayrifah.
Another patrol also infiltrated west of the town of Rafid in the southern countryside of Quneitra, and randomly fired in the air without any reports of injuries, while another patrol consisting of 5 military vehicles infiltrated inside the village of Saida al-Hanout in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
Two patrols of the Israeli occupation army yesterday, Saturday, infiltrated the villages of Ain Zivan and Al-Ajraf in the countryside of Quneitra, where the infiltrating forces established two military checkpoints to inspect passers-by.
42 Incursions
The total number of Israeli incursions since the beginning of December, i.e., within the last 21 days, has risen to 42 incursions, some of which involved arrests, according to the Anadolu Agency.
The Israeli forces carried out these incursions since the beginning of December, distributed over 4 main axes. In the central Quneitra countryside axis, the number of incursions reached 18, with the villages of Bir Ajam, Bariqah, and Kodna being the primary targets of these assaults.
These villages witnessed repeated incursions by heavy military vehicles, accompanied by digging trenches, erecting massive earthen barriers, and uprooting thousands of fruit trees and forest trees.
In the northern Quneitra countryside axis, there were 12 incursions focused on the towns of Jabata al-Khashab, Tarinjeh, Amal Farms, and Al-Hamidiyah, where Israeli occupation bulldozers destroyed agricultural areas and water wells, preventing farmers from accessing their lands.
In the southern Quneitra countryside axis, the Israeli army carried out 9 incursions targeting the villages of Rafid, Al-Asha, Al-Qahtaniyah, and Al-Hurriyah, carving a "dirt road" for military use, and laying barbed wire.
As for the fourth axis area, although it is administratively part of Rif Dimashq governorate, it is located in the northern sector adjacent to the borders of Quneitra and is part of the "Golan Front".
This axis witnessed 3 assaults on the slopes of Mount Hermon and around the town of Beit Jinn, with Israeli attempts to establish technical surveillance points in elevated areas overlooking deep into Syrian territory.
Damascus and Tel Aviv are negotiating to reach a security agreement, with Syria setting a condition that the situation on the map must revert to "as it was before December 8, 2024," when revolutionary factions overthrew the regime of the ousted president Bashar al-Assad.
Israel declared, on December 8, 2024, the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement with Syria, and occupied the Syrian buffer zone taking advantage of the security conditions associated with the overthrow of Assad.
Since 1967, Israel has occupied most of the area of the Syrian Golan Heights.
Syrians say the continuing Israeli violations limit their ability to restore stability, and hinder government efforts to attract investments aimed at improving the economic situation.
