The Meteorological Department Cold weather and warnings of fog and frost in the coming days

The Meteorological Department stated on Friday that numerical model analyses indicate that the weather in the kingdom will be relatively cold over the next four days, starting from Saturday.

The Meteorological Department clarified that temperatures will see a slight increase on Saturday and Monday, while the weather remains relatively cold in most areas and mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Some clouds are expected to appear at different altitudes, while the winds will be moderate southeast.

The Meteorological Department confirmed that the weather will remain similar on Sunday, with the relatively cold weather continuing in most areas without noticeable changes in temperature, and clouds appearing at high altitudes.

The winds will be moderate southeast and occasionally increase in speed, while the weather at night will generally be cold.

On Tuesday, a slight decrease in temperatures is expected, with the weather remaining relatively cold in most areas and mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. The winds will shift to moderate northwest, with cold weather at night.

Regarding the expected temperatures, they will range between 15-17 degrees Celsius in Amman during the day, while the minimum at night will be between 8-9 degrees Celsius. In the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the maximum temperatures will be between 22-24 degrees Celsius, with a nighttime minimum of 11-12 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department warned of the possibility of reduced horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog in the early morning hours, especially over the mountainous highlands.

It also warned of the risk of frost formation during the late night hours over the high mountainous highlands and parts of the desert areas, urging citizens to exercise caution and follow general safety guidelines.
