Forensic Medicine Resolves Debate Over the Death of Artist Nevin Mandour

Khaberni - The forensic report resolved the controversy surrounding the death of Egyptian artist Nevin Mandour, who passed away on Wednesday morning after a fire erupted in her fourth-floor apartment in the Asafra area.

The medical report confirmed that the cause of death was suffocation due to smoke inhalation from the fire, indicating that there were no criminal suspicions or signs of violence on her body.

Investigative authorities had authorized the burial of the artist's body, while the Montaza Second Prosecutor's Office in Alexandria commenced investigations to determine the causes and circumstances of the fire, and the body was transferred to the Ambulance Morgue pending the completion of the investigations.

The criminal investigation team also inspected the fire site, and the prosecution requested the Criminal Investigation Department and the Civil Protection report to fully disclose the circumstances.

It is worth mentioning that Nevin Mandour began her artistic career in the early 2000s, gaining prominence with the role of "Fayhaa" alongside actor Mohamed Saad in the movie "The One in My Mind," and continued to appear in a limited number of works, the last of which was the series "Che Toto Restaurant," before she completely withdrew from the artistic scene since 2006.

Nevin Mandour had been implicated in a heroin trafficking case in 2013, after being arrested along with two others, found in possession of a quantity of the substance.

Despite her limited works, her presence remained associated with one work that left a clear impact on the viewers' memory, before she passed away.

There is a discrepancy regarding the age of the late artist, as media reports confirm that she died at the age of about 53 years, being born in 1972, while other reports assert she was born in 1980.
