UAE to Host 5 International Dressage Championships

Khaberni - Khaberni - The International Equestrian Federation has approved the holding of 5 international dressage championships next year in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The championships, hosted by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation under the supervision of the International Federation, will take place over January, February, and March with open participation from within and outside the country.

Diana Al Shaer, the head of the dressage committee at the International Equestrian Federation and the seventh regional group, confirmed that the UAE boasts an exceptional infrastructure and hosts various international equestrian championships, having reached a high level in show jumping.

She described the hosting of 5 championships in the UAE as a significant and important step, in cooperation with the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, hoping to achieve an advanced level in all disciplines.

She added that many riders from a number of European countries have expressed great welcome for these championships starting from next January in the UAE, and a desire to participate, especially since the conditions are suitable for their participation, in addition to a unique base of riders in the Emirates.

She mentioned that there are many future plans to qualify human resources in various fields, in addition to the riders, as the goal is not only to organize championships but also to work on developmental plans that look to the future, especially since the sport of dressage is witnessing significant interest from riders, which drives us to provide continuous development opportunities for them.
