Khaberni - King Abdullah II received today, Tuesday, the Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Steinerjard, and discussed the friendship relations between the two countries and the most prominent regional developments.
The meeting, which was held at the Al Husseiniya Palace, emphasized the importance of expanding joint work and exchanging expertise, especially in the economic and defense sectors.
The King stressed the need to intensify international efforts to achieve stability in the region, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the implementation of the agreement to end the war in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of aid, and he appreciated Sweden's humanitarian efforts in the sector.
The King emphasized the necessity to stop the escalation in the West Bank, warning of the consequences of the continued illegal settlement expansion there.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, the King’s Office Director, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the Swedish Ambassador to Jordan, Maria Sargren.
