Khaberni - Settlements constituted about 13% of the total complaints filed by clients of insurance companies, in 10 months of this year, as they submitted 5331 complaints, of which 684 complaints were settled.
The total insurance premiums in 10 months of this year increased by 10%, or approximately 68 million dinars, reaching 732 million dinars, compared to 664 million dinars in the same period of 2024, according to the latest data from the Central Bank.
The rank of the insurance that holds the largest share of premiums paid by citizens to companies differed, with "vehicles" occupying the first place with a value of approximately 249 million dinars, surpassing medical insurance that remained in the first place in terms of premium volume since the beginning of the year, but fell to second place at the end of October last, with a value of approximately 238 million dinars.
On the other hand, the total value of compensations paid by insurance companies, in 10 months of this year, increased by about 19 million dinars, thereby reaching 458 million dinars, compared to the period from January to the end of October of 2024, where it amounted to about 340 million dinars at that time.
The vehicle insurance sector continued to dominate the largest share of the compensations paid by the end of October this year, accounting for about 50%, and the value of these compensations reached approximately 229 million dinars, followed by medical insurance, second in the list, with about 169 million dinars, and approximately 37%, of the total compensations.
