Khaberni - At least 7 people were killed and 20 others were injured due to exceptional flood flows resulting from heavy rain in the coastal province of Safi on the Atlantic Ocean, located approximately 330 kilometers south of the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
According to the Maghreb Arab Press agency, the authorities clarified in a statement late Sunday that the heavy rain, which fell within a single hour, led to about 70 homes and shops being flooded, 10 vehicles being swept away, and several roads in the city of Safi and its suburbs being cut off, affirming that rescue teams continue their efforts to deal with the consequences of the floods.
