Bani Obaid Municipality Implements 3D Pedestrian Crossing to Reduce Speed in Front of Schools

Aiming to enhance traffic safety and protect students and pedestrians, Bani Obaid Municipality implemented today, Wednesday, a quality initiative represented by the establishment of a three-dimensional (3D) pedestrian crossing at one of the vital points that includes a number of schools.

The implementation of the idea came through the Traffic Safety Department at the municipality, represented by Engineer Heba Al-Nassan, and in cooperation with "Reflective Road" company, as part of the continuous efforts to raise drivers' traffic awareness.

The three-dimensional pedestrian crossing relies on the technique of optical illusion aimed at attracting the driver's attention and prompting them to reduce speed immediately upon seeing it, thereby contributing to the protection of lives, especially students and passersby around schools.

The municipality confirmed that these innovative initiatives prove that improving traffic safety does not require huge budgets, but rather needs simple and implementable ideas that serve the community and provide a safer environment.
