Al-Ahliya Amman University achieved a distinguished sports accomplishment by its basketball team securing the second place in the 3x3 basketball student championship among the Jordanian universities, organized by the Jordanian University Sports Federation. The championship featured extensive participation from university teams, where the university team went through the first round flawlessly surpassing Hashemite University, Mutah University, Islamic University of Science, and Al-Balqa Applied University, then surpassed the second round flawlessly overcoming the University of Science and Technology and the Jordanian University.
The university team showcased an impressive performance that reflected the level of preparation, skill, and discipline, reaching the final with stability before finishing the competition as runner-up against Petra University team, with a difference of 3 points, thus securing the second rank in the championship.
Also, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, the University President Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, and the Dean of Student Affairs Professor Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyat congratulated the basketball team on this honorable achievement. Those responsible for the team praised the continuous support from the Dean of Student Affairs and the Sports Activities Division, affirming that this achievement resulted from hard work and team spirit. This achievement enhances the presence of Al-Ahliya Amman University in the university sports arena and highlights its commitment to sports development and supporting student talents in various games.
At the end of the championship competition, the patron of the championship, His Excellency Professor Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim, President of Petra University, along with the Dean of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliya Amman University Professor Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyat and the Dean of Student Affairs for Petra University Professor Dr. Iyad Al-Malah, crowned the winning teams with the top three positions in the student championship.
