Khaberni - The Nursing College at Zaytoonah University organized a scientific and interactive activity titled "NANDA ADPIE Day", aiming to enhance the nursing students' understanding of the nursing process (ADPIE), and linking it to the accredited NANDA diagnoses, through a training approach that combines both theoretical and practical aspects, contributing to the development of their professional and clinical competencies.
The activity included a simplified explanation of the five stages of the nursing process, which are: Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation, clarifying the importance of each stage and its role in providing comprehensive and safe nursing care based on patient needs.
The students were divided into work groups to discuss various nursing cases, where they applied the steps of the nursing process practically, analyzed health problems, and devised appropriate nursing plans based on accredited diagnoses. The activity included several group discussions and interactive questions that contributed to consolidating information and developing critical thinking and decision-making skills among the students.
The activity was supervised by several faculty members from the Nursing College, who emphasized the importance of such extracurricular activities in supporting the educational journey, and linking academic knowledge with practical application, positively reflecting on the students' readiness for the job market and various health environments.
The students demonstrated a high level of engagement and interest, reflecting the college's commitment to providing a modern and stimulating educational environment that contributes to preparing qualified nursing cadres possessing the knowledge, skill, and professional responsibility.
