Khaberni - The team of "The Stories" unveiled the official teaser of the movie before its first screening in the Arab world at the Red Sea International Film Festival scheduled for December 8, 2025.
The promo showcases the human journey depicted in the movie, intertwining elements of love, ambition, and familial relationships that withstand the vicissitudes of time.
The movie features a cast of prominent stars including Nelly Karim, Amir El-Masry, Valerie Bachner, Kareem Kassem, Ahmed Kamal, Sabri Fawaz, Sharif Desouky, Khaled Mukhtar, and Ahmed Al Azar.
The story revolves around Ahmed, an ambitious pianist, whose friendship with an Austrian girl grows amid family conflicts and societal changes stretching until the early eighties in Egypt.
The writer and director of the movie, Abu Bakr Shawky, mentioned that "The Stories" reflects contemplation on the power of love, human bonds, and the moments that shape our life paths.
He explained that presenting the movie at the Red Sea International Film Festival represents an opportunity to share this project with audiences across the region.
"The Stories" was filmed between Cairo and Vienna, involving Director of Photography Wolfgang Thaler, Set Designer Hind Abdel Razek Heider, Editor Roland Stöttinger, and Costume Designer Reem El Adl.
The movie also received support from the Red Sea Fund, ÖFI+, Austrian Film Institute, Vienna Film Fund, Île-de-France/Paris Region, Lower Austria, Belgian Tax Shelter Incentive, BNP Paribas Fortis Film Finance, Doha Film Institute, and Aide aux cinémas du monde - National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image - French Institute, in cooperation with ORF Film/Fernseh-Abkommen.
Film Clinic Independent will handle distribution in the Middle East and North Africa, while GoodFellas will manage global sales.
