A Stroll Turns into a Disaster A Flock of Geese Attacks a Woman Who Was Feeding Them

Khaberni - A 72-year-old lady was violently attacked by a group of geese during her visit to a public park in Royse City, Texas, USA, resulting in her falling and sustaining serious injuries.

The lady, named Lydia West, was feeding ducks in City Lake Park, when a big goose approached her and attacked the food she was carrying, causing her to fall to the ground and hindering her ability to move, according to "People" magazine.

Her son, David West, told WFAA, affiliated with CNN, that his mother was "trapped on the ground, unable to move," adding that the incident caused her to suffer multiple pelvic fractures and internal bleeding, and she was subsequently taken to a local center for injury treatment.

David mentioned that his mother, who is petite, also suffers from other health issues, and that she will undergo a long course of physical therapy to regain her ability to walk.

The report noted that a couple who were present in the park witnessed the incident and helped save the lady by attempting to repel the geese and calling emergency services.

Meanwhile, the management of City Lake Park said they are considering installing educational signs to teach visitors how to better interact with the wildlife in the area.

David West concluded his remarks by referring to his family's shock at the territorial behavior of the geese that led to his mother's injury, stressing that the purpose of sharing the incident is to warn visitors, especially the elderly, about dealing with wild animals in public places.
