Khaberni - Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul-Munim Al-Oudat, confirmed that the youth represent the influential force in the nation's journey, leading to the launch of the modernization project with its three political, economic, and administrative tracks.
He added that the launch of the modernization project aims to make the youth fundamental partners in the building process and an active force in decision-making, aligning with the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Abdullah II at the start of the state's second centenary, characterizing them as the energy of the present and the builders of the future, capable of confidently and effectively shaping tomorrow for their nation.
Al-Oudat explained that the modernization project represents a comprehensive state project that reflects the strength and resilience of Jordan, based on a profound national understanding of past and recent experiences in party work, accumulating expertise, overcoming challenges, and establishing a more cohesive and effective stage in political practice.
He pointed out that Jordan aims to build its own democratic model through effective programmatic political parties, capable of reaching decision-making positions, truly reflecting the aspirations and needs of the citizens. He noted that the political modernization project targets embedding a culture of active participation, enhancing the Jordanian national identity, and instilling values of citizenship based on the rule of law, contributing to raising the level of political effectiveness, expanding the base of popular participation in decision-making, and enhancing the citizens’ role in actively contributing to state-building.
Al-Oudat dispelled the fears of the Jordanian youth regarding their involvement in party politics, affirming that the current legislative system provides all legal guarantees necessary to protect the youth’s right to political and party participation.
He mentioned that the parties' law ensures the protection of affiliates from any scrutiny or limitation, and secures the right of students to engage in party activities within universities and higher education institutions, thereby enhancing their integration into public life within organized and responsible institutional frameworks. He emphasized the importance of employing traditional and digital media as key tools in awareness and education, reaching different segments of society, and their pivotal role in enhancing national cohesion and serving the state in efforts to enhance national awareness.
