Khaberni - American President Donald Trump confirmed his country's full readiness to host the next edition of the World Cup.
The American capital Washington hosted the draw ceremonies of the 2026 World Cup finals, noting that the United States will host the tournament together with Mexico and Canada.
Trump is pleased with the preparations that have been made on the designated building for the draw, which takes place at the John Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Trump said in a television statement: "I think everything is great and we have made many modifications to this building".
Trump mentioned that his country's preparations for the tournament are in the best condition, adding "I am ready for this tournament and Gianni Infantino (FIFA president) is ready too".
Trump pointed out the great success achieved in ticket sales, describing the results as record-breaking and historic. He explained: "We have achieved record-breaking and historic sales concerning ticket sales, before the start of the tournament".
Trump avoided mentioning any challenges or potential difficulties that the tournament might face in different American cities, reaffirming his confidence in the officials' ability to solve any problem.
Trump concluded his speech by affirming that everything is proceeding as planned, and that the tournament will be a successful event that lives up to the expectations of both fans and participants alike.
It is worth mentioning that the upcoming World Cup edition will be historic as it will be the largest in the history of the tournament with 48 teams participating, and it is also the first to be hosted by three different countries.
