Khaberni - Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed an urgent investigation to determine responsibility and hold accountable those responsible for errors in the decision of the Terrorist Financing Freezing Committee Number (61 of 2025), which was published by the Iraqi Official Gazette in issue (4848) on November 17, 2025, and which contained texts that reflected untrue positions, as the Iraqi side's approval to freeze funds, based on a request from the Malaysian side, was limited to listing entities and individuals associated with the ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorist organizations.
The Iraqi government confirmed in a statement that its political and humanitarian positions on aggression against Lebanon or in Palestine are principled positions that are not subject to bidding.
The statement added that its positions "reflect the will of the Iraqi people of all its integrated spectra, alongside the right of peoples to liberation and decent living on their land, and that none of the opportunists and bankrupt entities can bid on the positions of the Iraqi government, which has always demonstrated steadfastness based on the historical rights of the landowners and standing by them, and rejecting occupation, aggression, genocide, forced displacement, and all practices of aggression that the international community has remained silent about".
