Khaberni - Egyptian actress Zeina reveals new aspects and details of her personal life, including her childhood and her stances on work and relationships, as well as a shocking opinion about men, stemming from her personal experiences.
In a recent interview with journalist Lamis El Hadidi, Zeina disclosed a sensitive personal opinion related to men, indicating that she has lost trust in most of them due to experiences she has endured, describing her feelings towards some of them as "disgust".
However, she praised some men whom she respects, like her father, her brothers, and some of her friends, considering that good examples do exist, but they are rare compared to the negative experiences she has encountered.
She confirmed that she is aware of her flaws and strengths, and that one of her most prominent traits is being quick-tempered, but she deals with it with full awareness.
In another context, Zeina explained that tenderness is not a weakness but compassionate upbringing creates real men, noting that she inherited these qualities from her parents.
She mentioned that she lives in a constant state of fear for her children and family, confirming that all she wishes for in her current life is health, safety, and distancing from people harmful to her and her family.
She said: "I fear for myself for the sake of my children.. and I fear for my children for the sake of myself.. and I hope to find them happy, successful, and kind to people."
Zeina also responded to a question about the qualities of her future husband or any attempt to enter a new relationship, saying she is not looking for a relationship currently, and that past experiences have made her cautious in dealing with men.
Zeina explained her stance towards the character "Marwa" that she portrayed in the series "Roses and Chocolate", confirming that whenever a woman enters a relationship with a harmful man, it is not due to her weakness, but because of the nature of the harmful person himself.
Zeina said that the character "Marwa" carries a human dimension, saying: "I really liked Marwa and felt sorry for her. She is pitiful and needs someone to console her. Parents are supposed to care for their children, but when there is neglect, the children become weak. Marwa turned out weak because she suffered deprivation from her father, but she still appeared strong despite her inner fragility. She is a fragile and pitiful character."
Zeina confirmed that the purpose of presenting this character is to highlight the human side of a woman affected by psychological deprivation, and not to diminish her strength or independence.
It is noteworthy that the series "Roses and Chocolate" achieved wide success during its airing and sparked controversy about possibly dealing with the life story of the late broadcaster Shaimaa Jamal, starring Zeina, Mohamed Farag, Safaa El Toukhy, Maha Nassar, Mariam Al Khosht, and Murad Makram.
