Abbas Al Nouri Explains the Reality of Reducing His Role in the Series City Kitchen

Khaberni - The series "City Kitchen" continues to achieve high viewership rates during the Ramadan 2026 drama, with a notable presence of its stars and broad interaction from the audience, amid controversy about the role of Syrian star Abbas Al Nouri in the production.

During a television interview on the program "Sabah Al Arabiya," Abbas Al Nouri denied all the news circulating about the reduction of his role, confirming that the character "Talhat Al-Jamal" he plays still holds its place within the context of the events.

The Syrian star added that his presence in the work is not aimed at merely appearing, but he strives to ensure that the character's impact is effective within the dramatic plot, even if it is absent in some episodes for the development of other characters, confirming that the narrative remains complete with the presence of his character.

Regarding his absence from the pre-dawn meal of the work team organized by director Rasha Sharbatji, Abbas Al Nouri explained that he was abroad during the invitation date, as he was in Dubai. He added in a spirited mood that he is awaiting a new invitation from the director upon his return, whether to attend a pre-dawn meal or dinner, but with fewer guests.

Abbas Al Nouri portrays the character of chef Talhat Al-Jamal, the restaurant owner, who lives multiple conflicts with his three sons: Maxim Khalil as the character Shuja, Abdul Monem Amayri as Abdul Kabir, and Mulham Bisher as Reda. Each story carries a dramatic line with many surprises that increase the suspense of the events.

The series "City Kitchen" consists of 30 episodes, written by Ali Wajih in collaboration with Saif Reda, directed by Rasha Sharbatji, and produced by Bentallens company. The series also stars Amal Arafeh, Fadi Subaih, Khaled Al Qish, Maisoon Abu Asaad, along with a number of promising young faces in Syrian drama.
