Khaberni - The Truth Social platform experienced a noisy night when U.S. President Donald Trump began an intensive posting campaign on Monday night that lasted for 5 continuous hours, from 7 PM to midnight.
During those hours alone, Trump posted more than 160 posts on his social network. Time magazine indicated that this wave was not even the largest in his active online record.
Ads and Conspiracies
What was notable in this campaign was not only the number of posts - according to the magazine - but also the variety of content which included promotional advertisements urging to "defend the homeland" and invitations to join the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, alongside political posts criticizing Trump's Democratic opponents.
The platform also overflowed with a stream of controversial conspiracy theories, as the president shared interviews and clips of far-right figures, some of which promoted claims alleging that Michelle Obama (wife of former President Barack Obama) used the "autopen" to issue pardon decrees signed by former President Joe Biden, without any evidence.
Trump also posted an interview conducted by Fox News with the National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, claiming she possessed more than 100 documents proving that former President Barack Obama ordered the drafting of a new intelligence assessment on the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
Cyber Attacks
The magazine noted that Trump repeated some posts twice, one of them with an additional comment. Often, these posts were directed against his opponents like California Governor Gavin Newsom, the most likely Democratic candidate for president in 2028.
The president also wondered in another post about the possibility of deporting Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, according to the report’s author, journalist Sulseri Burga.
He also devoted a significant number of posts - the magazine continues - to criticizing immigrants, especially the Somali community, who have faced direct criticisms from the U.S. administration after a shooting incident involving an Afghan asylum seeker.
Although Trump himself admitted that Somalis had no connection to the incident, his posts continued to suggest otherwise. One of the posts was a clip generated by artificial intelligence of billionaire Elon Musk talking about "fraud" within the Somali community in Minnesota.
The incident brings to mind - according to the magazine - Trump's first term when he exceeded 11,000 tweets over four years, achieving his record in June 2020, when he posted about 200 tweets during the national protests against police violence.
Despite Trump staying up late on the platform through posts, the magazine noted that he woke up early as usual the next day, and announced at 5:50 AM: "Truth Social is the best! No competition!"
